Is this "THE ONE"?
This page is still in development. Please check back soon for more information. To get some immediate feedback Take the relationship test.
If you've finished reading the dating section of this site (or you skipped over it entirely), "Is this THE ONE?" may be a very serious question on your mind. We all have a mental checklist (and sometimes a written list) of what we really want and need in a partner. While much of this may have been derived through the process of elimination, social expectations, family beliefs, and beliefs about ourselves also have a powerful influence on the qualities we find important in a mate. However, what is frequently overlooked, is that the qualities of the "relationship" have a far more significant impact on the relationship (and the satisfaction of the people in it) than the qualities of each person in the relationship. How you talk to each other, how you solve problems, how you manage conflicts and disagreements are the most powerful indicators on the success of your relationship. It's not whether one or both of you is attractive, successful, interesting, funny, etc. - which are the types of descriptors we normally hear when someone talks about what they want in a mate. If you are wondering if "this is THE ONE," the question to ask yourself would be, "Why are we good together?" Even better, ask your partner the same thing. See if you have similar ideas of why you are a good fit. I'd encourage you to take the Relationship Test. It's free and you should have your results in less than 48 hours. |
