Relationship Counseling

Counseling a relationship can be very different from individual counseling. For those of you who have had experience with counseling, you may recall sharing your current problems and past history with your counselor. Afterward, you go through the process of determining what you, alone, can do to make a difference in your life.

While that is still an important part of relationship counseling, the focus is not necessarily on either you or your partner, but the dynamics in the relationship. Under these circumstances, we may explore how each individual contributes to your interactions and how one or both people can do something different to make a difference. But we also may explore the relationship itself, as if it is a separate entity with a life of it's own.
